We are a small in-home cattery in northern California that raises our kittens underfoot. Our cats are FeLV and FIV free and we guarantee the health of our kittens and cats in a written contract. We strive for excellence in the Singapura and Burmese breeds, and you are more than welcome to make a visit by appointment. We are also happy to provide references upon request.

"Pura Vida" is a common expression used in Costa Rica - our favorite vacation destination.  It means "Pure Life." 

Our goal is to produce friendly, healthy kittens using top-winning lines of Singapuras and Burmese.  Our cats are genetically tested for inherited diseases so we can ensure that you have your new family member for a long time.

Pura Vida is owned by Jeff and Heather Roberts in northern California.  Jeff is a manager for a national food company and Heather is an educational administrator at a local college.  We both have our PhDs in Biological Sciences from Texas Tech University.  We are also both TICA Allbreeds cat show judges, love birding, and enjoy traveling together.  Our former cattery name was "Chaparral," but we recently chose to take a new direction, and a new name.
